Why SPF Is Bad For Your Wedding Photos?

Why is spf bad for your wedding photos? Your Photographer will thank you!

Have you ever noticed the white glow on your face or bright spot on your forehead in photos?

This is caused by SPF.

Almost every foundation has at least 15 SPF, which is great for protecting your skin. Most of these foundations also look great in person. There may be no shine or oiliness but it’s still giving the flash effect in photos.

Let’s be honest here… who is going to remember what your make-up looked like? Unfortunately no one. Guests typically only remember the food and the DJ!

Photography is the only way you will be able to remember these small details. Even though you may be in love with your everyday foundation…… I suggest splurging and going with a foundation that has no SPF.

If you plan on having your make-up professionally done, this is one of the first questions you should ask:

Do you typically use a foundation without SPF? If not, is there a no SPF option?

A good bridal make-up artist will already know about the No SPF rule!

Good Luck and Happy Planning!
