The bridal industry has always been so fascinating to me. I remember being a little girl and watching ‘Say Yes To The Dress’…. I loved watching the girls try on dresses and feel so beautiful. It was the anticipation of their reaction that kept me interested.
In high school, I started a Youtube channel. I taught girls how to do different braided hairstyles.
This passion lead me to graduating high school early to purse my dreams of becoming a hairstylist. I attended Paul Mitchell The School and graduated with in just eight months.
I worked in two salons where I was able to learn many different angles of the hair business. Although I couldn’t forget my dream to be a part of the bridal industry. That’s when I found a job at a high end bridal salon. This is where I was able to learn the techniques of updos and makeup.
In 2014, I opened my own bridal business called Lexie Hair & Make-Up. Much to my surprise…. that business blew up! By my second wedding season, I was blessed with 42 brides.
Everyday I’m so thankful to live out my dreams. It may not always be perfect, but I at the end of the day it is the brides reaction that keeps me going. It’s the “Oh MY GOSH! Is that me?!” reaction that makes me falling even more in love with my job.
