Last summer, I found a deep love for Coconut Oil. I never realized how much I would love it. Let me tell you a little story…
I bought my dad tickets for a Yankees Vs. Boston game at Fenway…. (I’m a yankee fan btw!) for his birthday. It was the first week in September so I figured the weather would be about 70….. Little to our surprise it was about 92 degrees. I forgot to bring sunscreen and we were sitting in center field with direct sunlight.
Anyone who knows me, will tell you I burn… I don’t ever get a nice tan… I turn lobster red. Hahah So I thought for sure I was going home a cooked lobster. On the bus ride home, I realized I hardly got any sun…. Which was impossible because it was Hot and Sunny all day. That’s when I realized…. The coconut oil I was using as a moisturizer…. Protected my skin. I woke up the next morning with a little tan coloring.
It was a MIRACLE!!!
Here are 3 Reasons Why You Must Use Coconut Oil:
- Most studies have shown that it has a 2-8 spf… depending on how strong the oil is.
- It moisturizes your skin…. helping to prevent wrinkles.
- It will give your skin a beautiful glow…. that people won’t stop talking about 😉
I do have to warn you… many people can NOT wear this on their face….. It often clogs pores and causes unwanted pimples. I have experienced acne on my face from it.
Every single day, I put a couple pumps of this miracle oil on my arms, chest, and legs. Not only does it make your skin feel soft, but also protects you from the sun!

It’s the middle of summer….. and it’s humid. You planned to wear your hair down……. but you know what’s going to happen as soon as you step outside??
ALL THE CURLS FALL AND FRIZZ……. It’s a nightmare!
Maybe you thought all the hairspray in the world would keep it perfectly in line…… and it didn’t. Let’s eliminate some stress……………..
During the humidity, Updo’s work best. Messy with a purpose updos are perfect…. they give you the hair down feel with the security of it staying in place!
If you absolutely can’t imagine an updo, definitely go with the side swept look!
Hope this helped!
